Let's learn basic Kanji #18 level 2

Hello.
こんにちは！
You're learning Kanji everyday, aren't you?
ちゃんと毎日漢字の勉強してるよね？
It's already #18! It means we learnt at least 170 basic Kanji if you're following my blog.
Sounds cool, doesn't it?
Do you know what I'm gonna say?
Yes, we'll have Kanji test after lesson #20.
Please revise Kanji from previous lesson through. :)
Anyway, are you ready for today's Kanji?
Here we go. :)






台　音: ・タイ・ダイ　　　　　　　　　訓:・うてな
                Meaning: 'step''stage''stand''table'

Example sentence:車が３台とまっています。/Kuruma ga san dai tomatte imasu.
                                 (There're three cars parked.)
 *台 is used as counter for car, phone and table.
e.g. 
one car　 車が一台
two mobile phones  　携帯が二台
three tables　テーブルが三台


地　音: ・チ・ジ　　　　　　　　　訓:・つち
                Meaning: 'ground''earth'

Example sentence:地球は丸いと信じています。/Chikyuu wa marui to sinjite imasu.
                                 ((I'm) believing that the earth is spherical.)
 *地球(ちきゅう)[n] the earth



池　音: ・チ　　　　　　　　　訓:・いけ
                Meaning: 'pond'

Example sentence:池のまわりでは遊ばないでください。/Ike no mawari de wa asobanai de kudasai.
                                 (Don't play around the pond.)
*周り(まわり)[pre] around



知　音: ・チ　　　　　　　　　訓:・し(らせる)・し(る)
                Meaning: 'knowledge''know'

Example sentence:先生がいくつか知ってる？/Sensei ga ikutu ka sitteru?
                                 (Do you know how old teacher is?)



茶　音: ・チャ・サ　　　　　　　　　訓:・ちゃ
                Meaning: 'tea'

Example sentence:日本人はお茶にさとうとミルクはいれません。/Nihonjin wa ocha ni satou to miruku wa ire masen.
                                 (Japanese people don't put sugar and milk into a tea.)
 *砂糖(さとう)[n] sugar
   牛乳(ぎゅうにゅう)[n] milk



昼　音: ・チュウ　　　　　　　　　訓:・ひる
                Meaning: 'afternoon'

Example sentence:お昼ごはんにサンドイッチを食べる。/Ohiru gohan ni sando itti wo taberu.
                                 (I eat sandwich for lunch.)
 *お昼ごはん(おひるごはん)[n] lunch



長　音: ・チョウ　　　　　　　　　訓:・なが(い)
                Meaning: 'long''length'

Example sentence:ヘビの長さを計る。/Hebi no nagasa wo hakaru.
                                 (Measure a length of a snake.)
 *蛇(へび)[n] snake



鳥　音: ・チョウ　　　　　　　　　訓:・とり
                Meaning: 'bird'

Example sentence:鳥になりたい(´・ω・)/Tori ni naritai.
                                 (I wanna be a bird.)




朝　音: ・チョウ　　　　　　　　　訓:・あさ
                Meaning: 'morning'

Example sentence:朝ごはんはおにぎりを食べました。/Asa gohan wa onigiri wo tabe masita.
                                 (I had a riceball for breakfirst.)
*朝ご飯(あさごはん)[n] breakfirst
  おにぎり[n] riceball



直　音: ・チョク・ジキ　　　　　　　　　訓:・ただ(ちに)・なお(す)
                Meaning: 'straight''directly''immediately''fix'

Example sentence:車を直すのには１３万円かかる。/Kuruma wo naosu no niwa juu san man en kakaru.
                                 (It costs 130,000 yen to fix a car.)
