31.望む(のぞむ)　　              　(to hope)
・皆さんが良い一日を過ごせることを望んでいます。/I hope that everyone'll have a good day.
*To be honest, we do not have like this expression in Japanese. We say just ''良い一日を！'' if we say like ''Have a good day''.

・彼が成功することを望んでいます。/I hope that he will succeed.
（かれが　せいこうすることを　のぞんでいます。）


32.入る(はいる)　　              　(to enter, to be in)
・この場所には入らないでください。/Please do not enter this place.
（このばしょには　はいらないで　ください。）

・箱の中にはネコが入っています。/There is a cat in a box.
（はこの　なかには　ねこが　はいって　います。）


33.働く(はたらく)　          　　(to work)
・なんで働かないのですか？/Why don't you work?
（なんで　はたらかないの　ですか？）

・私は先生として働いています。/I'm working as a teacher.
 （わたしは　せんせいとして　はたらいています。）


34.書く(かく)　　                   　(to write)
・ひらがなを書けますか？/Can you write Hiragana?
（ひらがなを　かけますか？）

・私は漢字が書けます。/I can write Kanji.
（わたしは　かんじが　かけます。）


35.負ける(まける)　           　　(to lose)
 ・私は人生で一度も負けたことがありません。/I've never lost in my life.
 （わたしは　じんせいで　いちども　まけたことが　ありません。）

・３対０で試合に負けました。/We lost the match 3 to 0.
（さん　たい　ぜろ　で　しあいに　まけました。）
*試合(しあい)[n] match, game


36.勝つ(かつ)　　　                    (to win)
 ・勝つために一生懸命練習する。/Practice hard to win.
（かつために　いっしょうけんめい　れんしゅうする。）
*一生懸命(いっしょうけんめい)[adj] (to do something) hard

・どちらが勝っていますか？/Who's winning?
（どちらが　かっていますか？）


37.理解する(りかいする)　　　(to understand)
・これが理解できますか？/Can you understand this?
（これが　りかいできますか？）

・全く理解できません。/I can't understand at all.
（まったく　りかいできません。）
*全く(まったく)[adv] not at all


38.尋ねる(たずねる)　　        　(to ask)
・女性に駅への道を尋ねました。/I asked the lady the way to the station.
（じょせいに　えきへの　みちを　たずねました。）
*女性(じょせい)[n] lady
  駅(えき)[n] station
  道(みち)[n] way, road


39.受け取る(うけとる)　 　   　(to receive)
・アマゾンからの郵便を受け取りました。/I received the post/package from Amazon.
（あまぞんからの　ゆうびんを　うけとりました。）

・どこで荷物を受け取れますか？/Where can I recieve/pick up my luggage?
（どこで　にもつを　うけとれますか？）
*荷物(にもつ)[n] luggage, package


40.思い出す(おもいだす)　　　(to remember)
・昨日の晩ご飯が思い出せない。/I can't remember yesterday's dinner.
（きのうの　ばんごはんが　おもいだせない。）

・昨日あなたがどこにいたのか、思い出してください。/Please remember/recall where you were yesterday.
（きのうあなたが　どこにいたのか、　おもいだしてください。）
