Let's learn basic Kanji #30 level 3

Hello guys!
How's your Kanji goin'?
I know it bothers you.
But if you know at least basic Kanji you can enjoy more Japanese culture. :)
Just try to write each Kanji 2 or 3 times. It's enough.
Better than nothing. (/・ω・)/
 By the way, Meaning is a mere example. When Kanji is used with other Kanji together that meaning is also changed.
For example, 花 means flower, 火 means fire. However 花火 means fireworks.

歯　音: ・シ　　　　　　　　　訓:・は
                Meaning: 'tooth''teeth'

Example sentence:私は今、歯をみがいています。/Watashi wa ima ha wo migaite imasu.
                                 (I'm now brushing my teeth.)

*歯を磨く(はをみがく)[v] to brush tooth/teeth
  前歯(まえば)[n] front tooth
  奥歯(おくば)[n] back tooth
 上の歯(うえのは)[n] upper tooth
 下の歯(したのは)[n] lower tooth
  乳歯(にゅうし)[n] baby tooth, milk tooth
  永久歯(えいきゅうし)[n] adult tooth
  出っ歯(でっぱ)[n] buck tooth
  歯茎(はぐき)[n] gums 
  虫歯(むしば)[n] bad tooth, decayed tooth
  歯医者(はいしゃ)[n] dentist

                Meaning: 'poetry''verse''poem'

Example sentence:私の趣味は詩を書くことです。/Watashi no shumi wa shi wo kaku koto desu.
                                 (My hobby is composing poetry.)

次　音: ・シ・ジ　　　　　　　　　訓:・つ(ぐ)・つぎ
                Meaning: 'next'

Example sentence:次の駅は、東京駅です。/Tugi no eki wa Tokyo eki desu.
                                 (Next stop/station is Tokyo Station.)

*次の(つぎの)[pre] next
  次世代(じせだい)[n] next-generation




事　音: ・ジ　　　　　　　　　　　訓:・こと
                Meaning: 'thing''matter''affair'

Example sentence:私は、自分の事業を始めるつもりです。/Watashi wa jibunn no jigyou wo hajimeru tumori desu.
                                 (I'm going to start my own business.)

*事実(じじつ)[n] truth [adv] actually, in fact
  事柄(ことがら)[n] thing, matter, affair
  事業(じぎょう)[n] business
  事務(じむ)[n] business, office work, desk work, paper work
  仕事(しごと)[n] job, work 
  事件(じけん)[n] incident, event, happning, affair, case
 



持　音: ・ジ　　　　　　　　　訓:・も(つ)・も(ち)
                Meaning: 'hold''have'

Example sentence:これを持ってくれますか？/Kore wo motte kuremasu ka?
                                 (Can you please hold this?)

*持つ(もつ)[v] to hold, to have
  維持(いじ)[n] maintenance
  支持(しじ)[n] support




式　音: ・シキ
                Meaning: 'ceremony''ritual''formula'

Example sentence:計算式を覚えるのは難しい。/Keisan shiki wo oboeru no wa muzukasii.
                                 (It's difficult to memorise caluculation formulas.)

*計算式(けいさんしき)[n] caluculation formula
  儀式(ぎしき)[n] ritual
  卒業式(そつぎょうしき)[n] graduation ceremony




実　音: ・ジツ　　　　　　　　　訓:・み・みのる
                Meaning: 'substance''fruit''nut'

Example sentence:私は、真実を知りたくない。/Watashi wa shinjitu wo shiritaku nai.
                                 (I don't want to know the truth.)

*事実(じじつ)[n] fact
  現実(げんじつ)[n] reality
  真実(しんじつ)[n] truth
  果実(かじつ)[n] fruit
  木の実(きのみ)[n] nut




写　音: ・シャ　　　　　　　　　訓:・うつ(し)・うつ(す)
                Meaning: 'copy'

Example sentence:写真をとっていただけませんか？/Shasinn wo totte itadake masen ka?
                                 (Could you please take my photo/picture?)

*写す(うつす)[v] to copy
  写真(しゃしん)[n] photo, picture
  写真を撮る(しゃしんをとる)[v] to take a photo




者　音: ・シャ　　　　　　　　　訓:・もの
                Meaning: 'person'

Example sentence:歯医者に行った方がいいですよ。/Haisha ni itta houga iidesu yo.
                                 (You'd better go to the dentist.)

*歯医者(はいしゃ)[n] dentist
  医者(いしゃ)[n] doctor
  担当者(たんとうしゃ)[n] person in charge
  演者(えんじゃ)[n] performer
  出演者(しゅつえんしゃ)[n] performer, cast
  優勝者(ゆうしょうしゃ)[n] champion

主　音: ・シュ・ス　　　　　　　　　訓:・あるじ・おも・ぬし
                Meaning: 'main''master''

Example sentence:私はお酒が好きです。主に、ウイスキーを飲みます。/Watashi wa osake ga suki desu. Omoni, whiskey wo nomimasu
                                 (I like alcohol. I mainly drink whiskey)

*主に(おもに)[adv] mainly
  主人(しゅじん)[n] husband
  依頼主(いらいぬし)[n] client
  主(あるじ)[n] the head of a family
