Let's learn basic Kanji #32 level 3

Hello guys!
How's your Kanji goin'?
I know it bothers you.
But if you know at least basic Kanji you can enjoy more Japanese culture. :)
Just try to write each Kanji 2 or 3 times. It's enough.
Better than nothing. (/・ω・)/
 By the way, Meaning is a mere example. When Kanji is used with other Kanji together that meaning is also changed.
For example, 花 means flower, 火 means fire. However 花火 means fireworks.

 重　音: ・ジュウ・チョウ　　　訓:・おも(い)・かさ(なる)

                Meaning: 'weight''layer''overlaid'

Example sentence:箱の重さを計ってください。/Hako no omosa wo hakatte kudasai.
                                 (Please measure the weight of the box.)
*重さ(おもさ)[n] weight
  重要な(じゅうような)[adj] important
  重力(じゅうりょく)[n] gravity
  体重(たいじゅう)[n] body weight


宿　音: ・シュク　　　　　　　　　訓:・やど
                Meaning: 'accommodation''inn''hotel'

Example sentence:今日はこのホテルに宿泊します。/Kyou wa kono hotel ni shuku haku simasu.
                                 (I stay at this hotel today.)
*宿泊する(しゅくはくする)[v] to stay (for a night)
  宿題(しゅくだい)[n] a homework



所　音: ・ショ　　　　　　　　　訓:・ところ
                Meaning: 'place''spot'

Example sentence:きつえん所はどこですか？/Kituenjo wa doko desuka?
                                 (Where is a smoking area?)
*場所(ばしょ)[n] a place
  研究所(けんきゅうじょ)[n] a laboratory
  喫煙所(きつえんじょ)[n] smoking area/place



暑　音: ・ショ　　　　　　　　　訓:・あつ(い)
                Meaning: 'hot/warm (temperature)'

Example sentence:今日はとても暑いです。/Kyou wa totemo atui desu.
                                 (It is very hot today.)
*暑い(あつい)[adj] hot/warm (temperature)
  猛暑(もうしょ)[n] intense heat (temperature)



助　音: ・ジョ　　　　　　　　　訓:・すけ・たす(ける)
                Meaning: 'help'

Example sentence:助けてください。/Tasukete kudasai.
                                 (Please help me.)
*助ける(たすける)[v] to help
  助手(じょしゅ)[n] assistant
  救助(きゅうじょ)[n] rescue


昭　音: ・ショウ　　　　　　　　　訓:・あきら(か)
                Meaning:

Example sentence:私は昭和生まれです。/Watashi wa Showa umare desu.
                                 (I was born during the Showa era.)
*昭和(しょうわ)[n] Japanese era between1926 and 1989
  平成(へいせい)[n] Japanese era from 1989 -


消　音: ・ショウ　　　　　　　　　訓:・き(える)・け(す)
                Meaning: 'erase''delete'

Example sentence:電気を消すのを忘れないでください。/Denki wo kesu no wo wasure naide kudasai.
                                 (Please do not forget to turn off the light.)
*消す(けす)[v] to erase, to turn off (a light)
  電気(でんき)[n] a light
  消去する(しょうきょする)[v] to delete
  消しゴム(けしごむ)[n] a rubber, an eraser


商　音: ・ショウ　　　　　　　　　訓:・あきな(う)
                Meaning: 'commerce''merchandise''quotient (math)'

Example sentence:これらは新商品です。/Korera wa shin shouhin desu.
                                 (These are new merchandises.)
*商品(しょうひん)[n] merchandise, goods
  商人(しょうにん)[n] merchant
  商業(しょうぎょう)[n] commerce
  商売(しょうばい)[n] business, commerce



章　音: ・ショウ　　　　　　　　　
                Meaning: 'chapter'

Example sentence:ハリーポッターの最終章を読んでいます。/Harry Potter no saishuu shou wo yonde imasu.
                                 (I'm reading the final chapter of Harry potter.)
*一章(いっしょう)[n] chapter 1
  最終章(さいしゅうしょう)[n] last/final chapter
  文章(ぶんしょう)[n] sentence


勝　音: ・ショウ　　　　　　　　　訓:・か(つ)・まさる
                Meaning: 'win'

Example sentence:誰が勝ちましたか？。/Darega kati masita ka?
                                 (Who won?)
*勝つ(かつ)[v] to win
  勝利(しょうり)[n] victory
  勝敗(しょうはい)[n] victory or defeat
